Avatar finale!

okayawesomeAND I AM DONE and will probably be shutting up about Avatar after this post (until the shitty movie comes out), but! Final thoughts:
1) Yeah, so by the end of that, Aang was pretty much my least favorite character. Sorry, Aang! He probably doesn't deserve that, but every time he was on screen I was like OH MY GOD GET BACK TO ZUKO/KATARA/SOKKA/TOPH/IROH ALREADY.
2) Relatedly, how awesome are Zuko and Katara and Sokka and Toph and SERIOUSLY, HOW AWESOME IS IROH? I want him to be my life coach.
3) Sry2say but the finale would have been 34082043984320948204832049324 times better without that last little bit of Aang/Katara. I still can't not think of Aang as being, like, 8 years old, and Katara acted like his mom half the time. No thank you. D: (Zuko/Katara wound up being a little bit cute. :( I would have been okay with that.)
4) The best ship of all, however, was Sokka/Suki. AWWWW they were so cute and adjusted. Zuko/Mai was also decent, but I thought suffered from just sort of appearing the way it did at the start of season three. Their interactions were hilariously teenie, though, which made up for it.
5) I want an Appa. ;_;
6) In general, the final four episodes were a little underwhelming, but on the other hand I'm not sure if there was any way they could have totally lived up to the promise of the episodes immediately preceding -- especially without having Aang actually straight-up kill Ozai. Which he should have, but oh well. Crazy!Azula was fucked up, though.
So, anyway! Avatar was very cool, overall. Surprisingly so! I still don't think it's going to be a long-term fannish thing (even if![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
rivereyes is trying to get me to bring it to RP >_>), but I'm glad I watched it. Thanks for telling me that children's television hasn't totally failed since my childhood, Nickelodeon! \o/
