So I didn't think I could be any more pissed off at How I Met Your Mother than I was after "The Rough Patch," but this episode really was the last nail in the coffin of this season for me. I realize I am probably deeply biased on the whole subject of "hey let's forgive our horrible family members for no reason other than they're ~*~family~*~," but seriously, I am so far from okay with the way that whole thing played out.

I know the show's going on hiatus for a few weeks (anyone know how long?) and I'm not sure what I'm going to do when it comes back. A la Lily, it might actually be Dead To Me as of now.

I have determined that it's going on the DVR to collect for later. I can do other things while I wait for TBBT. And when Chuck returns, I may not even bother to DVR HIMYM unless I hear that it is awesome again. :(

I have no DVR, so I tend to divvy shows up by "shows I have to watch live" (which as of now is... Community and Top Chef, and TBBT if I can) and "shows I'll catch online." Last season, HIMYM was the one I absolutely had to see when it aired, but the last few weeks I've caught up the next day, and... seriously, I really don't know if I'm going to do that much when it comes back.

I don't know how a show could go from my absolute favorite to something I can't stand this quickly. It's astonishing to me. I'm heartbroken.

I've always found Chris Elliot off-putting and unfunny, so that didn't help matters.
