Today is a good day for women!
Mar. 8th, 2010 01:46 pmHAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY, FRIENDSLIST.
And it's shaping up to be a good one, too!
To wit:
1) Dana Scully and Liz Lemon beat their respective male opponents in March Madness, Round 2, scraping through incredibly close races. Better yet, Scully beat out Dean Winchester, the ragingly misogynist pimple on the ass of fandom, and for some reason last year's winner. You go, Scully Coco!
2) Much more importantly in the real world, Kathryn Bigelow won Best Director, marking the first time a woman has won in the entire 82 year history of the Oscars. I absolutely cried. It was amazing. I guess I should see The Hurt Locker now.
What other amazing pro-woman happenings are happening? Do tell.
