Ugh you guys I don't know if I can come tonight after all. I feel (for reasons that many of you have probably already seen and I don't feel like repeating) really gross and exhausted and the whole mess has set my schedule back today so I don't even know if I'd make it out there before like, 11.
I kind of just want to curl up with Psych or something and fall asleep.

And it's okay bb, I will attempt to be doubly pimp to make up for it. (Though I'm still not sure if starting with Burning Down the House will just confuse/scare people, or if I should start earlier in the show, but I don't want to make people sit through all the seriousness to get to the cracky-slashy-awesometastic-ness. DECISIONS DECISIONS.)

Just give it a little intro: "So once upon a time there was this show, and one of the actors left after season two, so to make fun of TV they hired a dude who looked nothing like him and decided to write a plot where everyone had to pretend they were the same. Also there's a deaf wolf and a ghost."
I mean, you could also do Dead Guy Running or a season one episode like Gift of the Wheelman, but I feel like all the good episodes that aren't the actual pilot require some backstory anyway, so. And I wouldn't make them sit through the pilot, that shit is long.

I have a feeling I'm going to insist on Seeing Is Believing at some point. Because despite using almost all the characters, it needs very little external explanation. But after Burning Down the House, natch. And yeah, a lot of the earlier seasons do require a lot of explanation. I'd love to show A Hawk and a Handsaw, but I think I'll just stick to RayK stuff for now. We'll see how it all plays out.

See, I love Seeing is Believing, but I definitely think you need to watch at least a few before you see it just to understand why it's SO FUCKING CRAZY. Especially evil!hypnotist!Fraser.
OH MAN I DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF A HAWK AND A HANDSAW. NO YOU SHOULD SHOW THAT TOO, THAT'S A GREAT EPISODE EVEN WITH RAYV. And IIRC it takes like 0 explanation... is Dead Bob even in that?

I will still start with Burning, for sure, and move on to the others if people like it enough (AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I WILL DO IF THEY DON'T, OMG, WHAT IF THEY HAVE NO TASTE) though I've noticed that Seeing Is Believing and Dead Guy Running tend to go down pretty well with people who have little exposure to the show.
And it looks like you should be calling us anyway at some point! VOCAL LENS FLAIRS ARE AWESOME.

Yeah, Dead Guy Running is usually my second go-to after Burning. I have some friends who swear by Spy vs. Spy, but frankly, I think exposure to that brand of insanity should be limited until well after one is already watching the show. >_>;;;
